The role of Senior Project Engineer plays a vital part in the success of large-scale civil infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • As a key member of the project team, provide technical guidance and problem-solving expertise to resolve engineering challenges efficiently.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop site engineers, graduates, and undergraduate engineers to build capability within the project team.
  • Manage subcontractor performance across larger and more complex scopes, including financial control, progress tracking, and variation management.
  • Prepare and review project documentation including quality records, safety reports, environmental compliance, and progress claims.
  • Liaise effectively with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives and delivery standards.
  • Contribute to forecasting, program reviews, and reporting to senior management on project performance.
  • Drive a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to HSE requirements across all site activities.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • Proven experience in a Senior Project Engineer or advanced Project Engineer role on large-scale civil infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior engineers and site teams.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing subcontractor packages and cost tracking.
  • Well-developed problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to manage complex site issues under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build positive relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
  • High attention to detail, proactive risk management, and a focus on project delivery.
  • Current Construction Induction Card (White Card).
  • Previous experience on water infrastructure projects highly desirable.
