Resident Care Leader

 

As a key member of our aged care team, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of person-centred care to our residents. Your primary goal will be to ensure that our residents receive the highest standard of ongoing assessment, care planning, and evaluation.

 

The successful candidate will oversee daily clinical operations, supporting their team members in providing exceptional care. You will work closely with the General Manager to lead and manage the care home's clinical team, ensuring that all staff are well-coached, mentored, and empowered to perform at their best.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and direct the daily clinical operations of the care home.
  • Support and mentor the care home's clinical team, focusing on leadership development and succession planning.
  • Review and address any incidents or complaints that may arise, working collaboratively with the management team to find solutions and prevent future occurrences.
  • Oversee compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Develop and implement effective care plans for each resident, prioritizing their individual needs and preferences.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, using data to inform strategic decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including healthcare professionals and community groups, to enhance the overall quality of life for our residents.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Nursing degree with current APHRA registration.
  • Postgraduate qualification in aged care or a related field (highly regarded).
  • Proven experience in leading clinical teams, with a track record of delivering high-quality care and promoting positive outcomes.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, residents, and their families.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on finding creative solutions to complex challenges.
