Are you looking to start a rewarding career in the renewable energy sector? We have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Electrician to join our team at Barron Gorge Hydro Power Station in Cairns. This 4-year fixed-term contract provides an exceptional chance to learn a technical trade and contribute to our program of planned maintenance across the station.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in delivering planned preventative maintenance to ensure high reliability in renewable generation.
  • Complete on- and off-the-job training, including TAFE study blocks, to achieve a Certificate III in Engineering Electrotechnology.

About You
You're committed to undertaking and successfully completing a Certificate III in Engineering Electrotechnology (4-year course) and eager to apply your skills learned each day on an operating site.

Essential Requirements:
  • Completion (or currently completing) year 11 with satisfactory results in both Math & English.
  • A valid drivers' licence (learners or provisional stage acceptable).
