Women's Recovery Support Role

This position involves providing individualized case management support for residents at a therapeutic recovery community. The successful candidate will work closely with residents to help them achieve their personal growth goals, using the principles and values of the community as a guide.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Attend to the specific needs of individual residents, providing emotional support and feedback as needed.
  • Support residents in practicing the principles and values of the community through daily activities and programming.
  • Participate in case management activities, including working directly with partnering organizations and completing necessary applications and referrals.
  • Provide one-on-one counseling to residents on a daily basis, addressing issues that arise within the community.
  • Run and support community group meetings as needed, utilizing behavioral reinforcers and extinguishers to promote positive behavior.
  • Resolving issues that arise within the community, both individually and collectively, using mediation and counseling skills.
  • Work closely with corrections – probation officers assigned to residents, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Complete UDS testing and basic analysis, determining when to involve medical personnel as needed.
  • Provide information on services offered by the program and refer residents to other community service providers and resources as required.
  • Support residents in developing independent life skills, including household management, socialization, money management, decision-making, and time management.
  • Attend scheduled meetings, including morning, evening, celebration, and house meetings.
  • Completion of incident reports and adherence to Health and Safety policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in a related human/social services field.
  • A minimum of one year of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience working with individuals with substance use disorder.
  • Preference given to applicants with experience in recovery and knowledge of a therapeutic recovery community.

Working Conditions and Compensation:

  • Shifts: Full-time, three 12-hour shifts (36 hours/week), Wednesday, Thursday, Friday nights (7pm-7am)
  • Compensation: $34.06-$35.99 per hour
  • Benefits: Vacation accrues at a rate of 6% or in accordance with your length of service, comprehensive benefits plan after completion of probationary period.
