News Studio Pilot Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a News Studio Pilot.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver regional news content in collaboration with editorial and studio teams.
  • Direct and switch live and pre-recorded bulletins, promos, and updates, providing clear guidance to crew members.
  • Contribute to pre-production planning, produce graphics, and edit stories and promos using broadcast software and equipment.
  • Ensure high-quality standards are maintained, troubleshoot issues, and guarantee that studio facilities and equipment are production-ready.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, share ideas, and support continuous improvement of workflows.
Requirements:
  • Calm, detail-oriented, and resourceful professional with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments while maintaining a calm demeanor.
  • Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to effectively manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Tertiary qualification in media, production, journalism, or a related field.
  • Passion for broadcast television and live production.
  • Ability to learn new systems, tools, and workflows quickly.
  • Strong technical aptitude and the ability to grasp technical concepts and processes.
  • Previous experience in live studio or broadcast environments (desirable).
