About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Secondary Teacher English, Humanities (Legal Studies) to join our vibrant school community at Good Shepherd Catholic College, Mount Isa.

This is a full-time, permanent position commencing on 20 January 2025, offering a competitive salary range of $84,077-$121,092 per annum pending experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach English and Humanities (Legal Studies) to students in Years 7-12
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve academic excellence and student growth
  • Participate in professional learning and development opportunities to enhance teaching practices
Requirements
  • Appropriate tertiary qualification with registration or eligibility for registration with Queensland College of Teachers
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • Ability to travel from time to time within the Catholic Diocese of Townsville
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role in a safe manner
