Program Manager Role Summary

As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the implementation of early childhood education programs across various locations.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Developing, managing, and evaluating program initiatives and collateral to support teachers.
  • Designing and delivering professional learning content, as well as leading teacher networking and professional development sessions aligned to national/state perspectives and meeting teacher accreditation/registration needs/requirements.
  • Providing guidance, support, and resources to stakeholders to enhance ways of working.
  • Recognizing and responding to safety issues proactively and supporting centers to comply with relevant legislation, including Child Protection, National Regulations, and Workplace Health and Safety.
  • Maintaining currency of Goodstart Teacher Registration/Accreditation procedures for centers and teachers and supporting teacher registration/accreditation compliance audits.
  • Collaborating with the Learning and Development Team to design and deliver professional learning opportunities for center-based staff as required.
  • Working with the People team in the attraction and retention of teachers and maintaining the Teacher Professional Program Intranet page.
  • Supporting inclusive practices in center's educational programs and practice.
  • Promoting quality and continuous improvement in early childhood education and care within the organization.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Minimum 4-year Early Childhood qualification from a recognized university.
  • Extensive and recent practice-based early childhood teacher education experience (aged birth to 8 years).
  • Sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework, other State based approved/recognized learning guidelines, and the National Quality Standard.
  • Teacher registration/accreditation at proficient level (NSW, SA, VIC, WA, QLD).
  • Working knowledge of or the ability to acquire relevant State or Territory legislation and National Quality Framework.
  • Experience of supporting a team and being a team member.
  • Sound understanding of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.
