About the Role
">This is a permanent part-time (0.5FTE) position commencing with the Department of Education, Western Australia.
The Operational Initiatives branch is responsible for managing and implementing strategic education programs that support schools and student outcomes.
Typically, these programs involve partnerships and liaison with non-government school sectors, corporate and not-for-profit organisations in Western Australia.
Delivery of support and services to public schools assisting them to implement these programs is a key responsibility of the Branch.
The Job Description
The Strategic Education Specialist assists in developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating education programs, projects, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
They provide advice and support to schools, central and regional services staff on policies, processes, and systems associated with school, teacher, and student support services.
If successful, you will collect, analyze, and interpret data and other contextual information to assist in system-wide strategic planning and development of protocols and procedures.
You will be required to prepare reports, briefings, correspondence, and responses to queries related to specific state and national strategic education programs.
Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary range for this position is $90,000 - $130,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.

Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and evaluate education programs, projects, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Provide advice and support to schools, central and regional services staff on policies, processes, and systems associated with school, teacher, and student support services.
Collect, analyze, and interpret data and other contextual information to assist in system-wide strategic planning and development of protocols and procedures.
Prepare reports, briefings, correspondence, and responses to queries related to specific state and national strategic education programs.
