We offer competitive salaries with an estimated annual salary range of $85,000 - $120,000 AUD for this role, commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Job Description

This permanent full-time position plays a critical role in establishing a pool of Program Coordinators - Specialist Learning Program (SLP) for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). As a member of the senior leadership team, you will contribute strategically to whole school strategic planning and provide professional leadership in the program and the whole school.

You will work collaboratively with staff to develop, implement, monitor, and review plans and policies associated with specialist programs for students with autism. Additionally, you will liaise with principals, internal and external stakeholders regarding the transition of students.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Applying evidence-based pedagogy for improving student outcomes relevant to the WA curriculum
  • Knowledge and/or commitment to participate in relevant training in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), positive behaviour support, and evidenced-based teaching practices
  • Monitoring, reviewing, and reporting on student performance by creating individualised learning plans and maintaining programming, data collection, and reporting systems
  • Deploying resources efficiently and managing a team of education assistants to ensure program fidelity
  • Demonstrating high-level interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, students, and the school community
