Role Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Defence Systems Specialist to join our team at Lockheed Martin Australia. As a key member of our Naval Combat System Engineering Team, you will be responsible for assisting with the execution of prescribed engineering activities for naval platforms within the Navy's fleet.

About the Role:

The Defence Systems Specialist will provide engineering support for the weapon system to the customer (RAN) and liaise with stakeholders to assist with the development and maintenance of the Engineering Assurance framework. You will conduct Pre-Engineered Change & Impact Assessments (PECIA) for minor engineering changes, assist the customer in the development and execution of engineering changes, and provide engineering oversight to Multi Element Integration & Test team activities.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will require experience across the systems engineering lifecycle in a sustainment environment, a background in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics/Aerospace Engineering with a degree qualification, and significant experience working with internal and external stakeholders to achieve common goals. You will also possess excellent communication skills, including technical writing and the ability to develop/publish high-quality plans, processes & procedures. An Australian NV-1 security clearance and ability to access/handle Export Controlled technology, data and information are also essential requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide engineering support for the weapon system to the customer (RAN)
