Assistant Venue Manager Job Description

At Frontline Hospitality Melbourne East, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Venue Manager to join our team. As an Assistant Venue Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operations of our Hotel and Bistro, with a specific focus on managing our gaming facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Gaming Operations: Oversee the gaming room, ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Maintain Gaming Facilities: Monitor and maintain gaming equipment and facilities to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for patrons.
  • Train and Support Staff: Train, schedule, and support gaming staff to deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Assist Venue Manager: Assist the Venue Manager in daily operations, including overseeing the dining area, bar, and other guest-related activities.
  • Develop Promotions: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute promotions and events to attract new gaming customers.
  • Handle Customer Inquiries: Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly and professionally.
  • Uphold Hospitality Standards: Uphold the highest standards of hospitality and enforce policies to guarantee guest satisfaction and safety.
  • Maintain Records: Maintain accurate records of gaming activities, financial transactions, and compliance documentation.
  • Support Inventory Management: Support the Venue Manager in maintaining inventory and ordering supplies as needed.
  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving and conflict resolution.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience in managing gaming facilities or equivalent gaming experience.
  • Licenses: Must possess all required licenses (RSA, RSG Modules).
  • Leadership and Communication: Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage staff and interact with guests.
  • Organisational and Multitasking: Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities to handle various responsibilities efficiently.
  • Customer Focus: A customer-focused mindset with a dedication to providing exceptional service.
  • Knowledge of Regulations: Knowledge of local regulations and laws related to gaming activities.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as per the demands of the business.
  • Prior Experience: Prior experience in the hospitality industry or a similar role is a plus.
