Job Title: Acwg Frozen Tissue Collection Officer

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical assistance and expertise to the laboratory in maintaining the integrity of the frozen tissue collection.
  • Carry out necessary collection-based activities.
Requirements:
  • Relevant qualification, such as a degree in Science (Biological Sciences).
  • Minimum 5 years' work experience in wildlife biology and ecology.
  • Knowledge of legislation, regulations, and standards relevant to collections.
  • Proficiency in databasing and collections-based software, particularly Excel and Access.
About You:
  • Strong understanding of NATA accreditation and standard operating procedures.
  • Able to deliver key accountabilities and perform to focus capabilities.
Selection Criteria:
  • Submit a one to two-page covering letter outlining suitability for the role.
  • Resume detailing experience working with natural history collections.
  • Experience with relational databases, such as EMu.

Double vaccination for COVID-19 or a valid medical exemption is a condition of employment.
