We are seeking an experienced City Operations Manager to spearhead the growth and success of our operations in Wollongong.

As a key member of our team, you will oversee the daily operational functions, managing Ground Patrollers, Drivers, and Mechanics. Your primary focus will be on delivering a seamless customer experience while ensuring compliance with council and government requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing basic administrative tasks such as shift scheduling, rostering, and staff deployment planning.
  • Creating daily goals and strategies for the Operations team to ensure a great customer experience for riders and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Spending time on the streets of Wollongong, assisting Ground Patrollers and Drivers with e-scooter deployment, rebalancing, and retrieval from designated parking stations.
  • Ensuring timely e-scooter deployment at designated stations to meet consumer demand and efficient retrieval from consolidation areas.
  • Conducting performance analysis to optimize service levels and improve business outcomes.
  • Managing city revenue and costs to drive sustainable business growth.
  • Overseeing quality control and maintenance of e-scooters performed by the workshop team.
  • Hiring, training, and conducting regular refresher training for new Operations staff members.
  • Ensuring the Operations team adheres to Neuron's Standard Operating Procedures and Workplace Health & Safety Protocols.

In this role, you will be the face of Neuron to local stakeholders, including city council, businesses, and the community.

To succeed, you will need:

  • Experience managing direct reports within an Operations team, preferably in the mobility, transit, logistics, or tech start-up space.
  • A hands-on approach to leadership, comfortable working 'in the field' alongside team members.
  • A flexible work schedule with occasional evening and weekend commitments during new location launch periods.
  • The ability to lift, carry, and maneuver 25-28 kg.
  • A self-starting attitude, radiating positivity and a 'can-do' spirit.
  • Demonstrated results delivery in complex operational environments.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • An open-class Driver Licence.
  • A suitable smartphone (Apple or Android device from or newer).
