Project Engineer - Building Management Systems

Our organization is seeking a seasoned Project Engineer with expertise in Building Management Systems to join our team. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the engineering delivery of major construction projects, ensuring successful project outcomes by coordinating input from various stakeholders.

  • BMS control system design, implementation, and documentation are key aspects of this role.
  • You will define scope by drafting and presenting functional descriptions, assessing customer sites for installation requirements and design, and preparing submittals in line with our engineering standards.
  • Additionally, you will possess a comprehensive understanding of building automation system principles and design, plan and schedule project execution, including attendance at design meetings, and provide technical direction to project team members.

As a senior member of our team, you will also guide Project Managers on technical issues, mentor junior engineering staff, and contribute to the technical aspects of project delivery. Your involvement in Schneider Electric's Engineering Efficiency Program and participation in web-based forums and Teams groups will ensure seamless collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Tertiary or trade qualifications in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic fields; a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics is preferred.
  • Advanced computer skills are essential for this role.
  • Experience in the Commercial Construction industry BMS discipline and experience with highly complex control solutions are also required.
  • Knowledge of networking, database technology, and trends in BMS/HVAC is advantageous.
