Area Director Mental Health and Wellbeing

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Area Director to lead our Mental Health, Wellbeing and AOD department. The successful candidate will provide high-level leadership and oversight for the mental health, wellbeing, and AOD services in collaboration with the Medical Director.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic leadership and direction for the mental health, wellbeing, and AOD services
- Collaborate with the Medical Director to develop and implement departmental goals and objectives
- Lead and manage a team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality services
- Develop and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders, including other health services, government departments, and NGOs
- Ensure compliance with health funding processes, industrial, legislative, and regulatory requirements
- Develop and implement safety and quality systems to ensure a safe and high-quality public healthcare environment
- Postgraduate qualification in mental health, management, or a relevant field of study
- Strong leadership and motivational skills, with the ability to think and plan strategically
- Experience and knowledge of financial and resource management
- Proven performance in meeting activity and financial KPIs
- Knowledge of health funding processes and industrial, legislative, and regulatory requirements
- Demonstrated understanding of safety and quality systems
- Demonstrated ability to develop and enhance partnerships with key stakeholders
- Demonstrated understanding of a person-centred, recovery-oriented model of care
- Current and valid driver's licence
