Technical Architect for Payment Systems

In this critical role, you will drive the technical strategy and architecture for payment systems across multiple teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish best practices and patterns that scale across all teams
  • Design and implement sophisticated payment routing systems to optimise success rates, costs, and risk mitigation
  • Lead complex technical initiatives that span multiple teams and services, coordinating efforts to deliver cohesive solutions
  • Develop comprehensive testing frameworks for multi-currency payment flows and cross-border transaction scenarios
  • Mentor engineers across the team, sharing expertise in payment systems, fraud prevention, and distributed architecture
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience with payment systems architecture, gateway integrations, payment routing, multi-currency handling, machine learning, and rule-based fraud detection
  • Deep expertise in distributed, event-driven, and microservice architectures, with proven experience scaling low-latency, fault-tolerant transactional systems
  • Proven track record of technical leadership, with experience driving architectural decisions
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with stakeholders
  • Passion for innovation and exploring new technologies to solve complex challenges
