Key Responsibilities

As a leader within the branch, you will oversee key areas including:

  • Performance Management: Manage sales and inventory performance including aged inventory, stock turns and debtor arrangements.
  • Branch Operations: Oversee branch staffing requirements including recruitment, rostering, training, and performance management.
  • Sales Team Development: Nurture and grow the sales team to achieve targets, upskill capabilities, and provide value-add training with suppliers.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service and advice on rural products while introducing new product lines.
  • Retail Strategy: Assist with the development and implementation of retail strategy; including implementing and driving key sales campaigns and activities.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Leadership Experience: Experience leading dynamic sales teams and a background in agronomy or the rural industry.
  • Business Acumen: Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to interpret and prepare profit and loss reports.
  • Relationship Building: Passion for building strong relationships, internally and externally, creating a positive and collaborative team environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using the Microsoft suite and operating point-of-sale systems.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of agriculture products, seasonal requirements, the region, and competitors.
  • Teamwork: Team player with great communication skills and a collaborative approach.
