The Responsibilities- Represent clients in criminal law matters, including bail applications, pleas, summary trials, committal hearings, and higher court mentions.
- Provide duty lawyer services and legal advice to clients in the Magistrates and Children's Courts, assisting clients in custody.
- Advocate for clients, prepare cases, and instruct counsel in all jurisdictions.
- Contribute to shaping the future of legal aid through supporting law reform, policy initiatives, and service delivery improvements.
- A 36.25 hour working week (full-time hours).
