About the Role

CAMILLA is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Assistant Buyer to join our Buying Tribe. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of drop schedules and stock deliveries for national and international markets.
  • Raise and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely and efficient communication with suppliers.
  • Liaise with wholesale partners to ensure orders are fulfilled within deadlines.
  • Monitor and manage the critical path, flagging potential delays and communicating with team members and suppliers to minimize disruption.
  • Oversee the management of samples, ensuring they are delivered on time and ready for ranging.
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all data entered, maintaining high standards of data integrity.
  • Collaborate with Garment Technicians to resolve quality and delivery issues.
  • Negotiate with suppliers on critical path follow-through and pricing, embodying the CAMILLA values and striving for excellence.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with offshore suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail is paramount, with a strong focus on accuracy and precision.
  • Advanced Excel skills are essential for data analysis and management.
  • Knowledge of fabric, components, construction, and manufacturing of apparel and swimwear is desirable.
  • Understanding of specs and grading is also beneficial.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a buying or procurement position.
  • Relevant degree qualification is required.
