Remote Desktop Support Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Remote Desktop Support Technician to join our Adelaide-based operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality remote desktop support to end-users, including executive-level staff, in a fast-paced enterprise Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment.

About the Role:
  • You will be working with major government clients, delivering exceptional remote desktop support and resolving incidents efficiently.
  • You will prioritize and manage new support tickets and existing work orders using your strong analytical skills.
  • You will accurately document service details, time logs, and job notes in our ticketing system.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide remote desktop support to end-users using remote access tools.
  • Deliver high-quality IT support to resolve incidents and fulfill service requests.
  • Prioritize and manage new support tickets and existing work orders efficiently.

  • Meet service level agreements (SLAs) and task-specific timeframes.
Requirements:
  • You should have proven Level 1/2 IT support experience, preferably within an MSP or enterprise setting.
  • You should possess technical proficiency with macOS, Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Outlook, Office 365), and remote troubleshooting tools.
  • You should have strong diagnostic skills for application installations and network technologies (VPN, WAN, LAN).
  • You should have experience with endpoint management tools like Microsoft Intune and SCCM.
  • You should be familiar with ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, HP Service Manager) and principles, especially Incident and Service Request Management.
  • You should have exposure to analytics tools such as NexThink and 1E Tachyon.
