Senior Cost Management Leader

At the forefront of delivering high-quality cost management services, we seek an Associate Director to lead MEP-specific deliverables within larger projects or direct MEP commissions in the high-tech sector.

This role demands self-motivation, excellent client-facing skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and clients, including establishing early budgets, estimating, cost planning, tendering, procurement, and post-contract reporting.

A deep understanding of MEP systems and supply chain is essential, with the capacity to work collaboratively but robustly with main contractors and their supply chain.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Support on feasibility studies and writing procurement reports
  • Estimating and cost planning, including producing and presenting the final cost plan to internal and external clients
  • Effectively managing post-contract cost variances and change control processes
  • Taking personal responsibility for making cost checks and carrying out valuations on larger projects
  • Producing monthly post-contract cost reports and presenting them to the client
  • Contributing to value engineering
  • Negotiating and agreeing final accounts
  • Interfacing with the client and other consultants at all project stages
  • Leading a cost management team, ensuring they deliver on all accountabilities

Key Qualifications:

A proven track record of delivering high-quality cost management services across the full project lifecycle, with professionally qualified (RICS or similar) or working towards, relevant degree qualification, and experience in delivering MEP elements of work for clients.
