The Sofitel Brisbane Central is seeking a highly skilled Food and Beverage Attendant to join their team. As a key member of the service staff, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences to guests.

Working in a fast-paced environment, you will be required to multitask with ease, handling multiple orders and managing cash transactions with accuracy. Your attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure will be essential in ensuring that every guest interaction is memorable and satisfying.

With a passion for fine food and beverage, you will have a deep understanding of our menu offerings and be able to provide expert recommendations to guests. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to effectively engage with guests, build rapport and create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

As a Food and Beverage Attendant, you will play a critical role in maintaining the high standards of our hotel's service excellence. Your professionalism, punctuality and commitment to delivering exceptional results will be reflected in your work ethic and overall performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional dining experiences to guests by providing prompt, friendly and attentive service.
  • Manage multiple orders and handle cash transactions with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to strict health and safety standards.
  • Develop a thorough knowledge of our menu offerings and be able to make expert recommendations to guests.
  • Build strong relationships with guests, colleagues and management through effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements:

  • Availability to start work at either 5:30AM or 6AM.
  • Must be available on weekends as this is our busiest time.
  • Passion for fine food and beverage and quality speciality coffee.
  • Experience in using commercial coffee machines and brewing equipment.
  • Hospitality qualifications or equivalent experience.
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol qualification.
  • Exceptional personal presentation and grooming standards.
  • High-level interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with guests to ensure they have a memorable experience.
  • Time management and organisational skills.
  • A professional, outgoing demeanour.
