
Nurse Leadership Position

As a Nursing Unit Manager, you will be responsible for fostering a culture of trauma-informed, patient-focused care. You will champion practices that prioritize dignity, safety, and empathy, ensuring patients and their families experience care that is respectful, collaborative, and tailored to individual needs.
You will provide strong and compassionate leadership, inspiring your team and creating an environment where staff feel valued, respected, and empowered to deliver their best care. You will also support and mentor your team, investing in staff development and wellbeing through coaching, guidance, and encouragement.
In this role, you will navigate challenges with resilience and adaptability, remaining calm under pressure in a dynamic healthcare environment. You will provide stability, clear direction, and confidence to both patients and staff.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1), with extensive and recent post-registration clinical experience in the relevant specialty and sound knowledge of contemporary nursing and midwifery issues.
- Proven leadership and management capability, with the ability to coach, support, and inspire a high-performing clinical team.
- Strong commitment to patient-centred care, clinical governance, and continuous quality improvement.
- Sound financial acumen, with experience in budget development and monitoring financial performance.
- Demonstrated expertise in driving change, including developing and implementing evidence-based models of care and initiatives that improve service delivery and patient outcomes.
