Nurse Unit Manager Job Opportunity

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to lead our nursing team. As the Nurse Unit Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic and operational delivery of nursing services in your department. You will oversee and drive continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen service delivery and achieve improved health outcomes for patients.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively. They will also possess strong leadership and management skills, with experience in a healthcare setting.

You will be responsible for providing clinical leadership to the nursing team, ensuring the exceptional delivery of evidence-based care within contemporary models of practice. You will also be required to lead and manage processes that drive quality outcomes, ensure patient safety, and support continuous improvement.

In addition, you will be responsible for managing the efficient use and coordination of physical and financial resources to maximize expenditure toward health outcomes. You will also be responsible for promoting business continuity and avoiding potential service disruptions.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Current authority to practice unrestricted as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Proven experience in a leadership or management role within a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
