Residential Drafter - Melbourne

We are seeking a skilled residential drafter with expertise in ArchiCAD to join our team. As a key member of our drafting team, you will be responsible for producing accurate documentation and contributing to the successful delivery of residential construction projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of residential construction principles and experience working with ArchiCAD. They will also possess excellent communication skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete all allocated drafting tasks within agreed deadlines.
  • Commission reports and technical information with external consultants and follow up to ensure timely delivery.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by recommending innovative building methods or materials for cost or quality advantages.
  • Liaise with the team to ensure designs meet compliance, functionality, and aesthetic standards.

Requirements:

  • Advanced ArchiCAD skills with demonstrated experience in residential drafting.
  • At least 5 years' experience in the residential housing and construction industry.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in preparing construction documentation.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Drafting and/or Design highly regarded.
  • Proven ability to work independently and within a team to meet deadlines and resolve technical issues.
