About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Bell Textron Australia. As a key member of our Redcliffe, Queensland team, you will be responsible for ensuring that maintenance work is carried out to the highest possible standard in compliance with company policies and procedures and Civil Aviation Regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Carrying out maintenance and repairs on assigned aircraft in accordance with company policies and procedures and Civil Aviation Regulations.
  • Ensuring that all necessary work-related records and forms are properly filled out by the mechanic responsible for the work performed.
  • Tracking progress of work to ensure budgetary control is maintained.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work environment, including the aircraft and work bays.
  • Providing directions to AMEs and apprentices to assist them to meet budgets and delivery schedules.

Qualifications

Essential Criteria

  • A minimum of 5 years - experience in aircraft maintenance and modifications.
  • Cert IV in Aero-skills (Mechanical).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work with workshop managers and other staff in a busy environment with strict deadlines.

Desirable Criteria

  • A current CASA B1.3 License.
  • Experience on helicopters.
