Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Network Support

Are you passionate about aviation and committed to delivering exceptional maintenance services? We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our team at the Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section).

About the Role

This is a permanent, full-time position based in Cairns or Brisbane, with travel to other RFDS bases as required. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our Beechcraft King Air fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support base maintenance checks and conduct weekly scheduled aircraft base maintenance checks
  • Conduct troubleshooting and rectification of line defects arising daily in the course of flight operations
  • Availability for AOG call out after hours for fleet defect rectification Queensland wide
  • Ensure compliant management, storage, and usage of tooling and GSE
  • Contribute to business improvement/quality programs and enterprise risk management activities
Requirements
  • CASA B1 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer
  • Proven experience with Turboprop engines specific to RFDS QLD aircraft Types
  • Type rated on Beechcraft 300 series
  • Exceptional communication skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of the regulatory environment in relation to Aircraft Maintenance
