We are building a cutting-edge solution to revolutionize material handling and storage. Leveraging robotics and distributed software, we are developing a novel class of products for the $1T market. Our initial focus is on the supply chain industry, which is facing unprecedented challenges due to e-commerce growth, rising costs, and supply chain disruptions.

Our Software team seeks an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to design and scale the core services powering our system. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop critical command and control functionality, contributing to the long-term success of our software stack by leading the development of path planning, storage planning, and system optimization features.

  • Lead and mentor the development of software that powers our system
  • Develop automated tests to ensure high-quality software releases and accurate functionality
  • Work closely with the firmware team to ensure seamless service integration
  • Deliver high-quality code in various hardware and cloud environments
  • Design, implement, test, and document software

Requirements:

  • Strong experience with common backend languages, particularly Python
  • Experience with path planning using algorithms
  • Knowledge of strategies for optimizing inventory placement for storage
  • Experience developing highly available, high-reliability systems
  • Familiarity with unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, and HIL testing
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
  • Sense of ownership and a collaborative approach to software development within a team
  • Iterative approach to software development
  • Desire to continue learning and growing
