As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our Gold Class location. Your primary goal is to deliver exceptional guest service and ensure that all staff members are trained and equipped to provide an outstanding cinema experience.

  • Monitor and enhance guest service activities, maintaining high standards of quality and consistency.
  • Oversee the operation of kitchen and bar facilities, ensuring efficient service counter areas and timely ordering of stock in conjunction with the Food and Beverage Supervisor/Manager.
  • Maintain adequate levels of stock, receiving goods, and liaising with suppliers on quality issues.
  • Ensure Gold Class presentation meets company standards, implementing and maintaining food and beverage systems.
  • Liaise with Sales Executive regarding events and provide a safe work environment by ensuring all team members have knowledge of safety equipment and emergency procedures.
  • Manage inventory, tracking and analysis of wastage and ullage, and communicate stocktake results with management and F&B Manager (where applicable).
  • Foster a dynamic, fun, and welcoming environment, creating opportunities for career growth and development within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Responsibility for Gold Class: Ensure operational efficiency, monitor and enhance guest service activities, oversee kitchen and bar facilities, and maintain adequate stock levels.
  • Assist in Team Management: Effectively manage priorities, train staff in TAKE 1 Act 7, and motivate team members as part of the Gold Class Management and Events team.
  • Revenue and Financial Responsibility for Gold Class: Assist in meeting revenue and expense budgets, maximize sales through process and product knowledge, and ensure accurate cash handling and audit procedures.
  • Guest Focus: Maintain a high focus on delivering quality guest service, exceed expectations, and respond to guest feedback.
  • Sales & Local Area Marketing: Plan and implement national based programs, ensure displays and merchandise are well presented, and participate in community based activities/programs.

Person Specification:

  • Potential to progress to F&B Manager, Duty Manager, Trainee Manger, Assistant Manager roles.
  • Education: Completion of Grade 10 English and Maths.
  • Alignment with Guiding Principles: Team Oriented, Customer Focused, Commitment to Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement, and Innovation.
  • Good Interpersonal Skills, relationship building, Strong Analytical & Decision Making Skills, Ability to lead and develop (coach), Planning and organising, Drive for results, Excellent Communication Skills (both oral and written).
