Job Title: Gold Class Manager

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to manage the day-to-day operations of our Gold Class location. This role involves delivering exceptional guest service, ensuring training requirements for staff are met, and overseeing the smooth running of the venue.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Management:
    • Monitor and enhance guest service activities to ensure a high level of satisfaction
    • Manage kitchen and bar facilities, as well as service counter areas, to maintain a safe and clean environment
    • Order stock in conjunction with the Food and Beverage Supervisor/Manager and maintain adequate levels
    • Maintain a safe work environment by ensuring all team members have knowledge of safety equipment and emergency procedures
    • Ensure kitchen cleanliness and hygiene meet company standards
  • Team Management:
    • Effectively manage priorities and commitments, as well as manage other staff where necessary
    • Train and motivate team members as part of the Gold Class Management and Events team
    • Provide leadership to team members, give clear directions and instructions to staff on shift to maintain smooth running of Gold Class
    • Conduct regular performance appraisals and acknowledge good performance
  • Revenue and Financial Management:
    • Assist in meeting revenue and expense budgets for the location
    • Maximise sales through process and product knowledge
    • Enter and review supplier invoices, credit notes and petty cash dockets weekly
  • Guest Focus:
    • Maintain a high focus on delivering quality guest service and strive to exceed this standard
    • Actively assist in hosting and managing the flow of guests
    • Respond to guest feedback regarding Gold Class Service
  • Sales & Local Area Marketing:
    • Plan and implement national based programs
    • Implement LAM plan in conjunction with Management team
    Requirements:
    • Potential to progress to F&B Manager, Duty Manager, Trainee Manger or Assistant Manager
    • Completion of Grade 10 English and Maths
    • Good interpersonal skills, strong analytical and decision-making skills, ability to lead and develop (coach) team members
    • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
