Job Title: Construction Lawyer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Lawyer to join our team. As a Construction Lawyer, you will provide project advice to developer clients and large asset owners, prepare consultancy agreements, project term sheets, letters of intent, early works agreements, ECI and EPC contracts, tender contract documentation, and ancillary agreements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert legal advice on construction law to developers and asset owners

  • Prepare and review various construction and infrastructure agreements, including consultancy agreements, project term sheets, and ECI and EPC contracts

  • Negotiate contracts for commercial, retail, industrial, and institutional property development, as well as civil and mining works and infrastructure

  • Advise contractors and subcontractors on tender submissions and construction contract negotiations

  • Assist our litigation team in tribunals involving issues such as security and retention, variation and contract payment claims, and defects

Requirements

  • 2-5 years' experience in a similar role as a Construction Lawyer

  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of construction obligations supporting major development projects

  • Expertise in drafting and negotiating various construction and infrastructure agreements

  • Outstanding attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality work consistently

  • Excellent client service orientation with a desire to build strong client relationships

  • Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
