This role is responsible for providing qualified geotechnical support services within a mine to achieve developmental and production goals while maintaining quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver geotechnical service to the mine by understanding and adhering to mining regulations and company safety objectives
- Collect and analyze geotechnical data, including investigation and analysis of rock fall events and ground control issues
- Perform daily tasks related to geotechnical engineering, such as mine plans, drill & blasting plans, survey instructions, documentation of inspections and data collection
- Proactively identify and manage geotechnical risks and develop systems to monitor and manage these
- Possess a completed bachelor's degree in Geotechnics, Mining Engineering or Geological Engineering
- Demonstrate extensive experience in Geotechnical Engineering
- Familiar with the Rocscience Software suite
- Have working knowledge of the Mines Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations
This is an on-site position offered on an 8 days on 6 days off roster.
