Disability Support Specialist Role

This position is part of a multi-disciplinary team responsible for providing support to disabled students and applicants. The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of information, advice, and guidance, enabling individuals to succeed in their studies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate delivery of support services, ensuring accessibility and equity for all students.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide comprehensive support and advice.
  • Participate in student recruitment events, promoting inclusive practices and supporting diverse student needs.
Requirements
  • First degree level education or equivalent professional experience.
  • Substantial knowledge of disability-related matters and issues affecting students in higher education.
  • Experience advising students on disability-related topics and developing effective communication skills.
Working Environment

This role contributes to delivering a seamless and high-quality student experience. It sits within the Student Life, Health and Wellbeing directorate, aiming to provide exceptional support and care for current and future students.
