Senior Prosecution Leadership

About the Role:

The Senior Prosecutor will lead and manage a high-performing team of prosecutors, providing expert advice on complex legal matters and overseeing the development and implementation of strategies to improve prosecution services.

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the prosecution team, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge required to effectively prosecute serious crimes.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including judges, police, and other government agencies.
  • Exercise discretion in initiating, varying, and discontinuing charges, ensuring that prosecutions are conducted efficiently and effectively.
  • Identify and address gaps in prosecution services, developing and implementing strategies to improve performance and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination, achieving shared goals and objectives.
