Job Title: Health and Safety Business Partner

The Health and Safety Business Partner is a pivotal role that plays a key part in shaping the company's work health and safety (WHS) outcomes across various locations.

This permanent full-time opportunity will work to achieve a strategically aligned approach to the development and implementation of safety programs and initiatives that drives culture, visible leadership, risk management and performance.

Some intrastate travel to other sites will be required.

The role will have a key focus on promoting WHS performance standards and consistency across the business. In addition, the role contributes to and provides specialist technical direction, advice, support, and assistance on WHS matters in both a corporate governance and operational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and promote Adbri's vision of Work Safe, Home Safe through the development and facilitation of health, safety and wellbeing programs and strategies
  • Provide training to all staff levels to ensure the implementation of Adbri's health and safety management system and legislative compliance
  • Support and contribute to the culture where hazards, incidents and accidents are reported immediately actioned and closed
  • Implement strategies to remove all identified risks
  • Undertake localised compliance inspections and audits across multiple locations
  • Support the development and delivery of health and safety plans and initiatives
  • Facilitate and assist key staff in the risk assessment, inspections, and audits
  • Regularly report on regional health and safety performance and trends

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or a related discipline
  • WHS experience in a Mining, Construction or Heavy Manufacturing industry would be advantageous
  • Experience in WHS Auditing, Training, ICAM investigations desirable
  • Effective written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic individual with strong decision-making ability
