As a Trade Store Assistant Manager at Knauf Gypsum, you will have the opportunity to work in a new and modern trade store based in Horsley Park, NSW. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a natural talent for developing and maintaining customer relationships.

The ideal candidate will have experience in building services in a retail or commercial environment and possess previous trade experience. A forklift licence is highly desirable, but not essential. The successful applicant must be willing to obtain a forklift licence and hold a driver's licence. Outstanding interpersonal and negotiation skills are also essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Training and Development: Support the training and development of new team members to ensure they understand and deliver our high standards of customer service.
  • Site Inventory and Profit Management: Responsible for site inventory and managing trade store profit and loss.
  • Continuous Improvement: Accountable for continuous improvement at the site.
  • Analysis and Reporting: Ensure that KPI and stock keeping information is analysed and issues addressed and reported.
  • Culture Building: Assist in creating a positive and motivating culture within the team that inspires great performance and supporting all levels of team member performance.
  • Relationship Building: Build and sustain positive relationships within the team.
  • Knauf Values: Ensure that Knauf Gypsum values are part of the operational culture.
  • Change Readiness: Foster a culture of change readiness to optimise labour usage and streamline processes.
  • Contractor Management, Finance & Administration: Manage contractor relations, finance, and administration tasks.
  • OHS and Preventative Maintenance: Oversee occupational health and safety and preventative maintenance initiatives.
  • Client Relationship Management: Manage client relationships and develop strategies to enhance customer satisfaction.
