About the Role

Contribute to maintaining public spaces and facilities through a range of duties associated with cleansing Council areas.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Cleanse public places, including CBD, station sites, car parks, footpaths, public amenities, bus shelters, street and park furniture.
  • Perform high-pressure water cleaning of infrastructure according to work schedules.
  • Remove minor graffiti and foreign substances from surfaces as directed by supervisor or coordinator.
  • Dispose of general litter and hazardous objects.
  • Operate small plant and specialized cleaning equipment.
  • Report vandalism and malfunction of building fixtures, fittings, and services.
  • Use electronic works systems.
  • Complete work schedules on time and to a high standard.
  • Maintain work vehicle and all equipment in a clean and hygienic condition.
  • Monitor stock of cleaning products to ensure continued operation of Council sites.
  • Provide feedback on service levels and maintenance requirements.

Requirements:

  • Hold a valid NSW Driver's License (Class C).
  • Prior experience in cleaning, knowledge of methods and procedures, including high-pressure cleaning.
  • Awareness of chemical safety protocols.
