The Role:

A Senior Advisor is sought to join our dynamic Risk & Compliance team in Sydney, Brisbane, or Perth offices. This role will be responsible for working with the wider Risk & Compliance management team to ensure the firm performs comprehensive conflict and other assessments related to the inception of new and existing business.

About the Opportunity:

This is a pivotal role within the firm's global Risk & Compliance team, ensuring the work being undertaken meets the firm's global strategy. The ideal candidate will have professional services experience, preferably within a law firm, and a keen interest in knowing the business and lateral/analytical thinking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Risk & Compliance management team to ensure comprehensive conflict and other assessments.
  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure the firm meets obligations in relation to conflicts of interest and compliance issues worldwide.
  • Collaborate with the global Risk & Compliance team to ensure alignment with the firm's global strategy.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on risk and compliance matters.

Requirements:

  • Professional services experience, preferably within a law firm.
  • UK/Overseas legal qualification or minimum of LPC desirable.
  • Ability to demonstrate good judgment and business awareness.
  • Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to use own judgment to come to decisions.
