The Opportunity

We are looking for a talented individual who can provide expertise and resources to our Technical Procurement team, improve procurement processes, and assist with strategic sourcing initiatives. The successful candidate will have a strong background in procurement, project management, and stakeholder management, with excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Expertise and Resources: Mentor the Technical Procurement team with expertise and resources to improve procurement processes and strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Review and Improve Procurement Procedures: Regularly review and measure procurement procedures to implement process improvements and tools.
  • Identify and Deliver Commercial and Procurement Improvements: Assist in identifying and delivering commercial and procurement improvements with local and international suppliers.
  • Collaborate with Departments: Collaborate with departments to identify needs, conduct strategic sourcing, and plan market engagement.
  • Manage Capital Expenditure: Manage capital expenditure and develop replacement strategies considering commercial impacts.
  • Build and Maintain Relationships: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, suppliers, and contractors.
  • Negotiate with Suppliers: Negotiate with suppliers for cost savings.

Requirements

  • Trade Certificate or Proven Experience: A Trade Certificate or proven experience in refrigeration, HVAC, and/or electrical.
  • Degree in Commerce or Business: A Degree in Commerce, Business, Finance, Engineering, or Supply Chain.
  • Strong Stakeholder Management Skills: Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to liaise with all levels within the organization.
  • Project Management Experience: Experience in Project Management and risk management.
  • Microsoft Office Skills: Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and Access.
  • Communication and Negotiation Skills: Strong communication and negotiation skills, verbal and written.
