
Datacenter Support Specialist

The role of Datacenter IT Technician Trainee involves working in a dynamic environment with a focus on career progression. As part of this team, you will work with the world's largest computing infrastructure and learn the daily operations of a large data center, troubleshooting hands-on with servers and network equipment.
Key responsibilities include performing diagnostics and troubleshooting hardware and related problems, basic OS troubleshooting, configuration troubleshooting, replacement of parts and devices, storage media sanitization and destruction tasks, and maintaining system reliability.
We are looking for someone with basic knowledge of IT hardware and their configurations, basic IT troubleshooting knowledge, ability to lift and rack equipment with lifting equipment, and a valid driver's license with own vehicle to travel between sites.
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostics and troubleshoot all hardware and related problems
- Perform basic level OS troubleshooting
- Perform basic level configuration troubleshooting
- Perform replacement of parts and devices
- Perform storage media (HDD, SSD, etc.) sanitization and destruction tasks
- Maintain a high level of system reliability by prioritizing resolution of trouble tickets
- Follow DC operations, logistics, security and safety related processes and guidelines
- Practice and enforce best practices for Security and Safety
Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of IT hardware and their configurations
- Basic IT troubleshooting knowledge
- Ability to lift and rack equipment with lifting equipment
