Job Title: Senior ER/IR Expert

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior ER/IR Advisor to join our team in Perth. As a key member of the HR Team, you will play a critical role in advising and supporting project leadership teams across major engineering and construction projects.

  • Key Responsibilities
    • Provide expert advice on industrial instruments, including EAs, Modern Awards, and union engagement strategies.
    • Support EA negotiation and implementation across multiple projects and jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with Australian employment legislation.
    • Develop and implement IR strategies aligned with business objectives and project timelines, minimizing legal risk.
    • Advise and support on performance management, misconduct investigations, grievances, and disciplinary processes, promoting a fair and safe work environment.
    • Act as the escalation point for complex ER cases, ensuring outcomes are compliant, consistent, and minimize legal risk.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years experience in IR/ER advisory roles, preferably within construction, resources, or infrastructure, with a deep understanding of Australian employment law.
  • Proven experience managing IR/ER in large-scale projects and complex industrial environments, with the ability to interpret EAs and manage disputes effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence positive industrial outcomes, with experience gained in employer/employee associations or regulatory bodies being highly regarded.
