Academic Position in Civil Engineering

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Academic to join our team in the School of Engineering at RMIT University. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and research in the field of Civil Engineering, with a focus on Geo-infrastructure, road pavements, and civil engineering materials.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the teaching and research efforts of the School, in disciplines related to Civil Engineering.
- Develop and deliver high-quality curriculum and program materials, including online delivery.
- Undertake course coordination and management, including program development and implementation.
- Supervise higher degree by research candidates and support their scholarly development.
- Build and maintain relationships with industry partners and stakeholders, and develop collaborative research teams.
- Contribute to the development of research initiatives and secure external research funding to sustain research effort.
- Manage complex budgets and reporting requirements, and ensure compliance with financial, governance, and quality management systems.
- PhD in a related field or approved AQF equivalency with relevant industry experience.
- Demonstrated experience and strong track record in the areas of Geo-infrastructure, road pavements, and civil engineering materials.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiating skills, with the ability to consult with senior executives and external bodies.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to the development of high-quality research projects.
