Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Pathology Collector to join our team at QML Pathology, a part of Healius. As a Pathology Collector, you will be responsible for collecting blood and non-blood samples from patients, while delivering exceptional customer service and quality healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collecting samples with care and attention to detail
  • Keeping accurate records for every patient and sample
  • Delivering documentation within strict turnaround times
  • Preparing and packaging specimens for transport and testing
  • Liaising with customers, clinic staff, and couriers

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and organized individual to join our team. As a Pathology Collector, you will have the opportunity to work autonomously, sometimes in a solo clinic, and will be required to travel to multiple clinics. Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge in Phlebotomy or a healthcare background
  • Transferable skills gained in other positions within the healthcare industry highly desirable
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a high level of empathy
  • Organized, with strong time management and attention to detail
  • Ability to work autonomously, sometimes in a solo clinic
  • Hold a valid Driver's license and have flexibility to travel to multiple clinics
  • Hold a working with Children's Check or be willing to obtain one
  • Australian citizen or permanent resident, or a New Zealand citizen, or hold a valid visa with permission to work

Vaccine Requirements

  • Vaccine preventable disease evidence such as Hepatitis B is a requirement of this role
  • Other vaccinations based on location may be required
