Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team to deliver business objectives outlined in our Strategic Plans.
  • Coordinate maintenance and management of City Building and Facilities infrastructure assets.
Requirements
  • Tertiary Degree in a relevant discipline and associated experience.
  • Minimum of ten years' experience in maintenance of building and facilities infrastructure.
  • Current unrestricted driver's licence.
  • Experience in managing large operational teams in a multi-skilled environment.
  • Experience in budgeting and expenditure management.
  • Experience in procurement procedures and practices.
  • Thorough knowledge and experience in estimating, budget costing, project administration, and management to enable cost-effective operations.
  • High level of knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health legislation, Building Act 2011, Health Act 1911, and related legislation and standards.
  • A thorough understanding of Local Government requirements to ensure all works are carried out according to appropriate Acts and Australian Standards and Council policy.
  • High-level leadership and coordination skills.
  • Experience in high-level commitment to customer service.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High-level organisational and project management ability.
  • High-level negotiation and consultation skills.
  • Ability to initiate and manage change within a complex organisational environment.
