Lead a transformative journey as the Chief Executive Officer, driving growth and success in the underwriting agencies sector. Collaborate closely with an active, transparent, and supportive board to shape the organisation's future.The RoleYou will be responsible for delivering the strategy, fostering connections among stakeholders, influencing industry bodies, and resourcing for long-term success. Key objectives include:
  • Enhancing connectivity to facilitate member access to the marketplace through innovative initiatives.
  • Developing organisational capability and position as an advocate for Australian underwriting agencies.
  • Capturing trends and supporting training initiatives through knowledge sharing.
  • Ensuring long-term success through excellence in governance and service delivery.
  • Providing day-to-day management, promoting an inclusive culture, and maintaining positive relationships with staff, Board, members, and other stakeholders.
As CEO, you will be required to undertake up to 15 interstate trips per year, with some international travel to AsiaPac regions.The PersonWe seek an experienced senior leader with cogent business acumen, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently. Ideal candidates possess:
  • An outstanding record of achievement in insurance and/or underwriting organisations.
  • Proven financial, commercial, contracts, and project management expertise, along with sound business and personal ethics.
  • Experience working in a peak industry body or membership association (desirable).
  • Strong written and reporting skills, including Board reporting/submissions, and knowledge of good Governance practices and internal control.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including public relations experience (advantageous).
  • A relevant industry and/or tertiary qualification.
