We are seeking a Senior Environmental Planner to join our team in Sydney.

About the Role

This position sits within our National Planning Business Unit, expanding its capacity in renewable energy and sustainable planning. As a Senior Environmental Planner, you will support clients by offering innovative advice and insights on environmental planning and the energy sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide advisory services on renewable energy development capability, due diligence, and planning approval processes.
  • Prepare planning applications and post-approval activities, including Environmental Impact Statements, Statement of Environmental Effects, and Environmental Management Strategies for energy projects.
  • Support the team in preparing sustainability strategies and advice to clients across various sectors, including infill, new communities, and industrial development.
Requirements:
  • Hold a tertiary qualification in Town Planning, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
  • Ideal experience: minimum 5 years' experience within the Town Planning industry, with preferred experience in the renewable energy and sustainability sector.
  • Strong appreciation and understanding of sustainability and resilience principles in project delivery.
  • Proficient in written and verbal communication and engagement with stakeholders.
