Cloud-Native Solutions Architect

We're seeking a seasoned Cloud-Native Solutions Architect to design and deliver cloud-native solutions that meet complex business needs and align with our strategy, architectural, and product roadmaps.
Key Responsibilities:- Design cloud-native solutions that meet complex business needs and align with strategy, architectural, and product roadmaps.
- Analyse business requirements and problem solve to create the right solutions for customers.
- Design cloud-native architectures with simplicity and reuse at the forefront of solution designs.
- Solution design of major software components, systems, and features including analysis, research, design, and documentation that fulfils business requirements.
- Documentation and presentation of solutions in sufficient detail to allow an estimation of the effort required for delivery.
- Presenting solutions across our global architecture review board including security, data, infrastructure, and application architectures.
- Collaborating with Solution Architects, Technical Leads and Engineers to agree upon architectural solutions and standards.
- Design and build cloud-native solutions including hands-on proof of concepts.
- Research technologies and trends to contribute to our tech radar and solutions.
- Supporting Teams in understanding the dependencies between systems impacted by the solution to allow for effective planning.
- Assisting Teams in identifying risks and issues relating to the solution and any dependencies on other initiatives.
- Supporting the engineering teams in diagnosing and resolving architectural and technical issues in a consultative capacity throughout the project.
- Work closely with product to ensure our architecture roadmaps are progressively and incrementally built into our product lifecycle.
- 5+ years' experience as a technical lead, software/solution/technical architect.
- 10 + years in software engineering with extensive experience working with cross-functional teams in building, designing, and delivering end-to-end solution architecture.
- Strong experience with building, designing, and delivering cloud-native applications that are built for global scale, reliable, secure, and performant.
- Proven experience in solving highly complex technical and business problems and present conceptual information to all levels of internal and external management.
- Extensive experience in solution architecture.
- Strong knowledge in architecture styles, such as Services-Oriented Architecture & Micro-Service based Architectures.
- Experience with data architecture, data platforms, tools, and data design concepts.
- You love driving for technical outcomes.
- Experience with databases and middleware.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- PCI DSS/GDPR compliance experience.
- AWS certifications such as Solutions Architecture.
- Exposure to the following areas: Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, Redis and AWS services such as EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, and CloudFront.
- Experience with observability tools, such as logging (Splunk, Kibana) and monitoring (New Relic).
