As a dedicated Speech Pathologist, you will be responsible for delivering evidence-based assessments and therapy to a paediatric caseload. This involves providing direct, family-based, and community-based support to individuals with developmental delays and/or disabilities.
Key responsibilities include conducting assessment and intervention sessions with a mixed caseload in terms of age and modality, working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary context to deliver quality, evidence-based outcomes. Ongoing evaluation, training, and review are essential to ensure the delivery of quality services to clients. A tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology and SPA Registration are must-haves for this role. Additionally, a passion for working with individuals who have disabilities is crucial, as well as exceptional communication skills to work in a culturally diverse environment.
Effective time management and attention to detail are also required. Experience in working with children and adolescents, and confidence in working closely with their families, is highly valued. Compliance requirements include SPA Registration, Working with Children Check, National Police Check, NDIS Worker Screening, First Aid, and a Driver's License & Vehicle.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to support children and adolescents with developmental delays and/or disabilities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive support services to clients and their families.
- Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to monitor client progress and adjust therapy plans accordingly.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless service delivery.
