Groundwater Specialist Position

A leading consulting firm seeks a highly skilled groundwater specialist to join its Water Resources Team.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and execute fieldwork programs, including drilling supervision, geotechnical logging, soil testing and sampling, groundwater monitoring and sampling, and well installation and hydraulic testing.
  • Analyze and assess groundwater and geological data, as well as geospatial and 3D analysis using GIS and Leapfrog.
  • Develop conceptual models of groundwater flow and fate and transport.
  • Prepare informative maps, tables, figures, and technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in geology, earth science, geochemistry, hydrology, or a related field (required).
  • Postgraduate MSc or similar in hydrogeology (preferred).
  • At least 2 years of direct consulting experience (required), or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5 years of consulting experience (preferred).
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written (required).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong GIS skills - ArcGIS, QGIS, or Surfer.
  • Strong data handling and manipulation skills, and data analysis.
  • Experience assisting with groundwater assessments and site conceptual model development.
  • Fieldwork experience – drilling supervision, logging, testing, sampling, monitoring.
