**Job Description**

The Manager, Portfolio Communications will lead a team in devising strategic communications plans for projects and briefing in digital, events and customer service teams within the Branch and Division. They will work closely with delivery and planning colleagues across the organisation to develop proactive communications and collateral to ensure local communities are informed and engaged.

This role supports and advises senior leadership staff on strategic communications initiatives and ensures brand and language consistency across all communications materials.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Developing communications strategies to highlight organisational priorities and reflect audience interests and needs
  • Assuring brand consistency and integrity across all communications initiatives and materials
  • Providing strategic advice on communication approaches and contributing to the development of communications guidelines
  • Guiding others in the development of communications and providing expert advice on communication best practices
  • Developing organisational external communication strategies

**Required Skills and Qualifications**

- Essential: Bachelor's degree in Communications or a related discipline

- Desirable: Considerable experience in a similar role within government
